We have no electricity for 4 days now.

And I am still freaking alive. This is a freaking miracle, OMG.

Yes, we have no electricity for 4 days. What did I do in our house? Nothing, of course. Well, I sort of did something. I washed our clothes, cleaned the windows, read books, and eat. That’s all. And everyday, I kept hoping that the day would end, wishing that there would be electricity the next day. But that wish doesn’t come.

I kept saying to myself that it’s okay, and be patient, because at least we have water supply. In other barangays, they have electricity but they don’t have water supply. I kept telling myself that I’m lucky we have water supply and I shouldn’t complain, but 4 days of no electricity?! That’s too much!

And because my sister and I couldn’t stand it anymore, we decided to leave the house and go to the city to go to an Internet cafe. While we are riding in a jeepney, I saw the ruins of our barangay, Balulang.

OMG. The houses were destroyed. The walls were blown away by the wind. The church was also destroyed. I imagined District 13 in our barangay. You could have seen the ruins. It was so painful, so pitiful. :( I am so thankful because our subdivision is situated on top of a hill, so we weren’t affected by the typhoon. But, those houses! :’(

And now I feel guilty for complaining for not having electricity, when the others are crying because they lost their families and houses. :(

I have a lot of stories to share, but I couldn’t write them all in just one post. So if the electricity will come back (I know it will, soon), I’ll post them all here. For now, just keep praying for Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City.

I know that this is all God’s challenge. He never forgets us, and we shouldn’t forget Him. God bless us all.
